No crowds, fun waves, friendly people and tasty wholesome vegetarian food. Situated in the coastal village of Mulky, Southern Karnataka [30 kilometers north of Mangalore/Mungaluru] at the mouth of the Shambhavi River and the Arabian Sea, the Ashram Surf Retreat offers you a comfortable stay in one of our non-AC guest rooms with a clean [non-commercial] home-style atmosphere.

Important Details: We have 2 guestrooms. A maximum of four guests can be booked to stay at the Ashram Retreat at any one time – thus never any crowds. Also included in the above price for our guests (on a daily basis) are two tasty and wholesome lacto-vegetarian (we use milk products) meals (breakfast & dinner), 3 liters of mineral water and snacks such as fruits and coconuts, tea, coffee etc. As our guest we also offer you the use of the Ashram's two-man kayak for exploring the river backwaters. All guests of the Ashram are requested to follow the rules of the Ashram during their visit. No Alcoholic Beverages permitted, No Smoking allowed, No Non-vegetarian food permitted and Couples are requested to follow celibacy during their stay with us. We have people from many walks of life here but everyone is very nice, hospitable, easy going and we love to have fun -- especially out in the waves. NOTE: Surfboard rental / Surfboard hire is available ONLY for paying guests at the Ashram Surf Retreat. Surfing lessons and training are also available for Rs. 500/- per hour lesson. Please notify us in advance if you require lessons. Helpful information: - Guests are recommended to bring their personal suppy of surf wax (if bringing their own board), sunscreen and other skin care products that they may normally use. These items are otherwise very difficult to purchase in India.
